The Right Concentrate To Select

The Right Concentrate To Select. It’s been a long week and there you are, ready to roll into the dispensary and claim a bounty to relax and enjoy the weekend. The last thing you want is a bunch of confusion when it comes to picking the right concentrate. There are roughly 11 different options when it comes to concentrates. The basic choices boil down to hash, kief, moon rocks, rosin, hash oil, shatter, sugar wax, budder, crumble, live resin, and CO2 oil.

Yes, that actually all sounds good, but each choice comes with pros and cons that might or might not work for the customer or patient. It really does come down to personal preference, but let’s take a look at some of the qualities that come with each variation of concentrate.

A quick personal note. They all will get the job done. I personally make my choice based on the device. I love my Storz and Bickel volcano and will always turn to it for waxes, sugars, budders, and crumble.

When using a vape pen live resin is the way to go for me. I like low temps to keep the burn to a minimum. I also feel like it provides the best flavour. Alright, enough about me. Let’s take a look at all the options and try to find the right ones for you.

 Hash Oil

We talked about some of the old school ways to produce concentrates, but nothing is older than Hash Oil. We’re not here to go through the ins and outs of producing hash oil, but know this, it is the oldest way of producing pure concentrate from flower. History over.

Hash oil can be extremely sticky to deal with. It is best used in small amounts with a pen or heating source. It can get messy quickly. Much like all the original forms of doing anything time has perfected the art of removing the valuable parts of the plants. There are better and cleaner ways out there to enjoy concentrates.

The Right Concentrate To Select Shatter

Shatter is a relative newcomer to the legal weed scene. It looks like glass, hits like a champ, and feels delightful by knowing the right concentrate to select (or so I’m told). But what, exactly, is shatter? What makes it different from other waxes, hashes, or oils? And most importantly, what’s the best way to consume it?

The old saying goes “if it doesn’t shatter, it doesn’t matter” and although there are other forms and ways of enjoying concentrates, shatter is still one of the tops on my list.

I personally love shatter in a pen with a nice coil heating system. It’s simple and clean to cut off a small rice sized little piece, place it directly on the heating source, and enjoy a solid, smooth smoke full of flavours.

Some of my buddies like to put their shatter in the fridge, but if it’s going to be something I go through in a week (it usually is) I leave it at room temp. It’s much easier to handle and cut into pieces. It also makes it great for dosing if you’re looking to extend the life of your pickup.

Sugar Wax

Another favourite of mine, especially for the Volcano or pen with a heating unit.

Sugar wax is one of my go to options for concentrates. It vapes clean and doesn’t leave much of a mess. To get the most of your sugar, at least this is what works for me, just use enough for a few hits at a time. It will burn off and keep your device clean. Plus, who doesn’t love digging through a fresh jar and setting up hit after hit.Buy cannabis concentrate online

Some of my favourite sativa strains come in this form, which makes it easy to start the day off with a strong pull from my vape pen. Not saying sugar wax is only made from sativa, just saying it’s what works for me.

Budder

Just like the yummy stuff you drop into brownies or cookies, budder is one of the most flavourful of all the concentrate forms.

Budder always has outstanding flavour and taste. Some of my favourite strains seem to hit another level when consuming it in budder form. The name implies the product will have a creamy consistency and that’s not always the case. Why you should know the right concentrate to select even if you do happen to get an extra soft batch it’s nothing a little time in the fridge can’t solve.

Budder is tasty and always leads to fun sessions comparing different flavours and brands. It’s incredibly easy to use and can be rolled into joints or blunts, tossed on a dab rig, or, my personal favourite, hitting the Volcano up for a few bags full of goodness.

Crumble

Crumble is one of the easiest to use of the concentrate varieties. It’s oftentimes a little drier than the other ones, which basically means it is scoop and go for a quick and powerful hit. This really works well in vapourizers and the go-to for nearly everything for me, the volcano. Crumble even works well mixed up with grinded product. It’s very tasty too. There really isn’t much downside to crumble for me. Like I said, it’s really easy to use in a number of different ways.

Live Resin

The best way to enjoy a vape pen. I love live resin. Anytime I’m shopping at the dispensary I make sure to pick up something in the live resin field.

This is one of the newest ways to enjoy a concentrate. Seriously, if this is the direction this whole thing is headed, we are in for a treat. Live Resin is extremely tasty and just like every concentrate it packs a punch. Personally, I love flavours like Pineapple Express or Blueberry AK. Really anything with a fruit flavour in the name will work wonderfully.

The only problem I ever have with live resin is going through it quickly. It’s very tasty, which makes taking multiple hits very easy. Oh well, it’s all about the journey and you might as well be satisfied by the end. Enjoy.

C02 Oil

Another form of oil I prefer in my vaping pens. C02 oil seems to burn a little quick for me. Even at lower temperatures. It’s easy to burn through this product quickly, but that doesn’t mean you should avoid it. I personally like the health themed C02 cartridges. Those can include ones for waking up, sleeping, and even recovering from a tough night. Not one of my go-to forms of concentrate for daily use. Like I said, it seems to burn up quickly. I do keep a vape pen on my nightstand to help with sleep.
